‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 finale spoilers: Casey Wilson talks guest spot

As you may have heard by now, we are going to see a special guest coming up for the “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 finale “Something New,” where we are going to see none other than “Happy Endings” star Casey Wilson stop by for an interesting guest spot. There’s not much known about the character, but basically she and her other half are going to get into some sort of flexing contestant with Barney and Robin while out at a restaurant. Basically, we like to think of this as the romantic equivalent of a few people lifting weights at a gym to show how strong they are.

So is there anything that Wilson can say to add to this perception of her character? Both yes and no. Speaking in a new interview with ET Online, the actress made it very clear that she couldn’t say too much; however, she did offer up the following line that puts her character in general terms:

“She’s a real b***h. I’ll leave it there. She’s not someone anyone would want to hang out with.”

Meanwhile, she did open up a little bit about her friendship with Abby Elliott (who played Ted’s crazy girlfriend Jeanette earlier this season) helped to prepare her for what the experience was going to be like on set with some of these people:

“She texted me, ‘You’re going to love How I Met Your Mommy,’ and I was dying that she’s been calling it ‘How I Met Your Mommy.’ I filmed my scenes last week and they’re just the nicest group over there. They’re class acts, and I have a real girl crush on Cobie Smulders. Like, I was getting nervous talking to her because I really look up to her … and then I realized she’s younger than me [laughs].”

While we know that she is not the answer to the infamous “who is the mother?” question, it’s always possible that there is something in Wilson’s story here that gets closer to actually finding everything out.
