‘Bates Motel’ episode 3 preview: How will Norman react to his mother dating a man?

Bates Motel

Last night’s episode of “Bates Motel” really focused on Norman Bates’ growing obsession of women from this book he found in one of the motel rooms while he and his mother were ripping up the carpets to cover up the murder of Keith Summers.

In a new preview for next week’s episode of “Bates Motel” called “What’s Wrong With Norman” it looks like this book that Norman found (and kept) is going to come back to bite him.   He showed the book to a girl in his class, Emma, and together they discovered that some of the pictures drawn in the book were of actual places in town (like a cabin in the woods), leading Emma to believe that these things actually happened to the girls in the book.  When she tells Norman that they need to go to the police and give them the book he gets defensive, because that book could possibly lead back to what he and Norman did to Keith Summers.

It also looks like Norman will go back to the cabin and discover it’s secrets – mostly that it’s a safe, hidden place to bring people should he want to act out some of the images in the book.  The preview shows us a young girl tied up at what looks like the cabin, but it’s hard to make out if the girl is Emma or his teacher (we suspect it’s Emma without her respirator.)

In the last episode we saw Norma trying to get close to one of the cops in order to stop them from investigating her and Norman over the Keith Summers disappearance, but Norman was clearly getting jealous that his mother was going out with another man.  In the new promo it reveals that Norma will end up doing a lot more then just going on a date with this cop, so how will Norman feel when his mother brings this cop into her bed?

The next new episode of “Bates Motel” airs on Monday, April 1st at 10 p.m. on A&E, but if you can’t wait until then and you want to check out the preview for yourself the be sure to watch the video below and tell us what you think is going to happen.
