‘The X Factor’ UK notes: James Arthur, Caroline Flack, Nicole Scherzinger

James ArthurWho knew that there was so much happening in the world of “The X Factor” today? We have some notes from the American version of the show coming up shortly, but for now we thought that we’d kick things off by sharing some of the latest newsworthy items from the show across the pond.

Let’s start with the big news for all James Arthur fans: the reigning champ is going to be releasing some new music pretty soon, and is not so willing to sit around and wait like some of the other past champs from the show. Speaking in a new interview, James explains how important it is for him to not wait when it comes to putting out some new music, and why this is so important to him in the first place:

“I’ll be really disappointed if I haven’t got any music out by April, I don’t understand why X Factor winners disappear for a year before releasing their first album … I’ll sleep in the studio if I have to.”

We’d love to see some photos of James doing just that … but we’ll settle for some new music soon.

Caroline Flack poised to return – In what is the least surprising news out there, we’re hearing that bosses have more or less given the green light to Caroline being the co-host of “The Xtra Factor” again. We have personally found this show to be incredibly entertaining over the years, and her rapper with Olly Murs has been a big reason why.

But can Olly really return given his commitments to music? It seems unlikely, and at the moment Rylan Clark seems like the top contender to take the spot.

Nicole Scherzinger wants… A raise. And who can blame her? While this is not confirmed, reports are that the Pussycat Dolls is looking for a raise of 1.5 million pounds (over $2.2 million U.S.) to return for a judge next season. Considering that she did so well last season, we’re sure more money will indeed come her way.

It’s looking more and more like Nicole, Gary Barlow, and Louis Walsh will all be back, and while we’re hearing rumors that Sharon Osbourne will fill the last spot, we just have a hard time seeing how she could handle both “The Talk” and this show at the same time.
