‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 19 preview: First look at Sarah Chalke episode
We have heard for weeks now that the “Grey’s Anatomy” episode featuring Sarah Chalke is going to be a pretty emotional one, and based on the first promo that we have for it below, everyone associated with the show certainly was not lying. Inspired by true-life events, this hour is going to give us a pretty painful account of what happens when a mother struggles to deal with the fact that her young child is suffering from a disease that cannot be detected, and she has an even harder time finding a doctor who really believes and understands what she is going to.
Considering that Chalke was specifically cast in this role thanks to what she went through as a mother, you have to believe that this may be the most difficult part that she has ever played in her career. In addition to that, it is the one that may get her the most attention months down the road, especially given that she is far more known for comedy thanks to “Roseanne,” “Scrubs,” and an arc on “How I Met Your Mother.”
As for what is going to happen in this episode away from her battle, we really don’t know; this will not by any means be a standalone episode, but this story is going to be the primary focus of everything that happens at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. Meredith is still dealing with some baby issues of her own, while the likes of Alex, Jackson, and April are thinking more in terms of relationships with some other faces at the hospital.
