‘Big Brother Canada’ review: The Tom / Alec shower situation; a double eviction
While we don’t like how double evictions aren’t always fair to people in the “Big Brother Canada” house, we do have to say that it makes for some rather fantastic drama more often than not.
Before we actually get to the results of the double-eviction, can we start by once again saying how awful the shower situation is? We don’t want to try to make any assumptions about what Tom was thinking, but he obviously acted like he would towards a guy in gym class by opening the shower door to embarrass Alec, and we don’t know whether or not he realized the ramifications of what he was doing. Maybe he didn’t care. We don’t know. Instead of spending the whole article bashing him (he’s evicted, so what’s the point?), we’ll just say that he probably just should have been expelled at that moment. If this was a woman he did it to, do you really think that he would have stayed in the game?
Tom’s eviction was a shock to him but not to anyone else, and it turned out that despite being a physical force, it was actually his emotions in the game that really got him in the most trouble. Peter’s farewell message was pretty brutal, but also pretty funny considering that he couldn’t hold up his end of the bargain when it came to Liza … the next person to leave the game.
Can we say first of all that Andrew may be the first houseguest to ever win a knockout Head of Household without getting a single question right? Alec threw it to him rather than taking the responsibility for himself, and he got to that point thanks to other people missing questions. He put up Liza along with Suzette, and thanks to Emmett winning the Veto, even Peter voted to send her out the door.
Now, we just have to sit around and wait to see what happens in the game next. Andrew made a smart move to keep his name out of hot water, but we can’t say that he made much of a big move at all.
What did you think about this episode, and about Tom and Liza leaving the same week? If you want to see where we ranked the houseguests going into tonight’s show, you can do so over at the link here.

Ok, the shower scene is old. Everyone would agree that if it happened to them, they would he upset. Unforunately, we live in a time where male nudity isn’t as much of a controversy as female nudity, but that’s nothing new. I don’t condone toms actions, but alec clearly used it o his advantage to get tom kicked off and spent hours whining about it. Who really can’t understand why tom was so mad, though? After garys snaky noms to emmett telling tom it wa his idea to alec not using the veto on tom, all after tom was an honest hoh who kept his word. Even though its a game, no one can say that wouldn’t affect their emotions? Now that tom is gone, and liza, who I didn’t particularly care for, the show will be a lot more boring.

I would like to say that i think you are right, Tom would not have stayed it he had done that to one of the girls. He is a bully it was clear the min. he was put on the block. Can dish it out but can’t take it. As far as he and Liza leaving on the same night I think it was the best thing for the whole house. They are both self absorbed and deserve each other. Neither one of them are very bright light bulbs.
