ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2, episode 17 preview: Amanda and Eli’s next move

Just in the span of two episodes on “Revenge,” we are starting to learn quite a bit about one Eli James. We know that he wants to stick around the Hamptons for some specific reason, even to where he can be involved with one Emily Thorne’s life, and he is so willing to be there keeping watch on things that he is not even interested in taking money to go away.

However, this is where things start to get a little bit interesting. You would think that he is maybe holding on to some information in order to try and ruin Emily’s life thanks to what she did in setting a fire so many years ago (when she was using her real name in Amanda Clarke), but instead, he’s not saying anything about it at all. As a matter of fact, he actually allows Emily to accompany him on a trip to see the foster mother who took care of the home in which she originally set ablaze.

For more on this very subject, just check out the sneak peek below to see what Eli has to say about his first major move in overseeing the new Amanda Clarke Foundation. He tells Conrad and Victoria Grayson (who were both seemingly surprised to see Emily present) that this would be a great way for the woman involved to exercise forgiveness  while for the foundation, which is of course really code at this point for a way for the Graysons to funnel around money, it’s a nice bit of PR that looks like atonement during Conrad’s gubernatorial campaign.
