‘Survivor Caramoan: Fans vs. Favorites’ preview: Who’s repeating past mistakes?

The game will be changing on Wednesday night’s “Survivor Caramoan: Fans vs. Favorites,” and just like the last time we saw this format back in season 16, we are going to have a tribal swap take place. Unfortunately, it looks as though most of the Fans have forgotten all about what happened to the old group of people sporting the same name … at least based on the new extended preview below.

Rather than actually trying to find ways to bring over a Favorite into an alliance, the Fans seem more interested in the moment in grasping at straws. It looks as though Sherri and Reynold are both on the same tribe as Malcolm and Andrea, and the two Fans waste little time at all in trying to throw each other under the bus. While this tribe seems to be enormously stacked in comparison to the other (meaning that we don’t see many tribal councils for them), you know that these two are probably going to be targeted straight out of the gate if they are ever sent to Tribal Council.

Meanwhile, it appears that there could be some pleading going on with the other tribe as Matt actually begs Phillip to be able to make it to the merge. Doesn’t everyone want this? Sure, but at the moment he, Michael, and Julia have to all be some of the biggest targets for possible elimination over there. (Let’s hope that Julia talks more on the island than she does on the show.)

Finally, we have to applaud “Survivor” for still finding a way to use the challenge that they were not able to compete last time thanks to Brandon Hantz’s meltdown? This certainly looks like a repeat of something from “Tocantins,” but we will have to see it in action in order to be sure.
