NBC’s ‘The Office’ season 9, episode 18 preview: Dwight has a new love interest
Last week’s episode of “The Office” season 9 was a bit of a throw away episode that focused on Dwight’s family and the beet farm – really this was a lot of footage from the Rainn Wilson spinoff show called “The Farm” that never got picked up and instead of wasting the footage they decided to squeeze it in as an episode of “The Office”.
During Dwight’s visit with his family he decided that he wanted to start courting a brussel sprout farmer, and after making his intentions towards her know, she accepted his proposal and they are now in a courtship. What’s interesting about this woman is that she kind of looks like Angela (Dwight definitely has a type). So how is Angela going to react to the news that Dwight has met a new woman? Well Dwight did pour his heart out to Angela a few episodes back and basically begged her to leave her husband and start a life with him and she turned him down – not because she doesn’t love Dwight, but leaving a marriage is difficult, even when it’s really just a charade.
On the next new episode of “The Office” season 9, episode 18 called “Promos”, Angela will end up becoming very jealous over Dwight’s new lady love, but it still might not be enough to make her leave her marriage. With only a few episode of “The Office” left we are hoping that there will be some sort of reconciliation between Dwight and Angela since they are clearly meant to be together and leaving Angela behind in such a dumpy marriage really kind of sucks as far as wrapping her character up. We will also see how everyone in the office reacts when promos for the documentary they’ve been filming for 9 seasons finally starts to air on television – will there be any break out stars? You might be surprised who becomes the fan favorite.
There are no new episodes of “The Office” season 9 for the next few weeks, but it will be returning to NBC on Thursday, April 4th at 9 p.m., so be sure to tune in and see what happens when Dwight starts dating someone new.
