‘The Amazing Race 22’ preview: Chuck & Wynona get lost

Chuck and WynonaWithin the first couple of weeks of “The Amazing Race,” there always seems to be three categories that a team falls into: people who are contenders, the underdogs, and those with really no shot whatsoever of winning. Sadly, we’ve been given no evidence at all that Chuck & Wynona fall into anything but the latter group. Much like Mark & Bopper or even David & Mary, these two are people that we really want to root for, but there is not really any indication here at all that they are going to be able to survive what is going to be a very difficult next few legs.

Even going into Sunday night’s new episode, the couple with their mullets and history at Walmart are going to be starting things off near the back of the back, and really they are lucky that Jessica & John did one of the dumbest things in the history of the show in going out with an Express Pass in their back pocket. To make matters even worse for them, it appears as though the pair is going to be getting in trouble while trying to complete a task in the city of Hanoi, Vietnam, and it involves trying to carry things through the extremely crowded city streets.

Straight from the get-go, Wynona, who professes herself to be the weakest person physically left on the show, seems to be absolutely terrified of being in a position where she could be run over. Not only that, but she also can’t go nearly as fast as her husband would like. Ultimately, we think that what these two really need right now is to sit down and have a quick pep talk. Wynona needs a confidence boost, since they have done well enough to make it this far. We’ve also learned over time that anything can happen when you are on a show like this.

Do you think that Chuck & Wynona are going to be knocking on death’s door by the end of this episode? If you want to check out our full review of Sunday’s episode, which features the blunder by Jessica & John front and center, you can do so over at the link here.
