‘Mad Men’ season 6: Elisabeth Moss, Christina Hendricks go glam in new photos
The “Mad Men” season 6 goodness just keeps coming. We recently shared the first video teaser in order to hype up the show’s April 7 return, and now the latest photos released from AMC serve up a pretty perfect slice of the late 1960s.
The first image that we have to share feels almost like something straight out of a Hollywood movie more than a show about life at a New York ad agency. Then again, Christina Hendricks’ Joan is in a much more powerful position that she was ever in before: she’s a partner now, and she would be able to buy much more in the way of glamorous gowns. (Of course, in looking at this we have yet another reminder of the sacrifice that she needed to make to land herself this position.)
As for this other image, it shows a glamorous side to Peggy Olson … but also a pretty angry one. Why does Elisabeth Moss’ character have such a reason to scowl? Then again, maybe this is a look of determination and desire to crush Don Draper now that she is working for the other side.
While pretty much every “Mad Men” storyline is a mystery moving forward, it is unquestionable from this standpoint that the biggest question marks have to float around Peggy. After all, she is a woman who really is in a different world than some of the other characters now, and we don’t quite know just yet how she is going to clash with them except for moments here and there.
What do you think about these photos? If you want to get some more scoop on how we should anticipate seeing a “deeper” side of Don Draper on the coming season, all you have to do is visit the story over at the link here.
