‘Big Brother Canada’ rankings: Is the twist saving Suzette already?

Big Brother CanadaIf you frequent any of our reality show coverage here and the site, then you are likely very aware already that rankings very much are the name of the game. So why no “Big Brother Canada” ones until now? Honestly, it’s just because we didn’t know all of the players well enough to actually rank them all until now.

The truth is that this is a very difficult season to rank, even compared to American versions of the show. There are so many alliances, so many showmances, and everyone is telling everyone else different things. Basically, we’re having to judge here based on each houseguest’s individual grasp of the game, strategy, alliances, and ability to win challenges in the event that they are in a bind. This week, we also have to consider that twist that is going to give the Power of Veto to someone on the block.

13. AJ – Let’s be real: there’s no way Canada gives him the twist. Unless Tom makes a big move and the house goes with it, he’s almost sure to be a goner Thursday night.

12. Andrew – The only other person that we could see leaving the game tonight if Suzette gets the second Veto. He’s not a good strategic player, and Tom wants him out so that he can feel a little less threatened later.

11. Suzette – Just on the odd chance that she doesn’t get the Veto, Suzette has to be ranked low. Plus, she’s likely to go right back up on the block next week, she has already threatened to quit once, and she’s not a big threat in challenges.

10. Tom – He is a challenge warrior, but he’s also the biggest threat in the game. Almost everyone (save for maybe Liza) in the game will probably at least consider putting him on the block this week.

9. Gary – No one benefits more from Tom’s massive ego trip at the moment than Gary. He’s less of a threat, and Tom wants to keep him around for selfish reasons.

8. Aneal – If for no other reason than not being in the dominant alliance, you have to put Aneal pretty low … though we do think he is sneaky enough to make it pretty far in the game still.

7. Talla – Not loved or appreciated by everyone, but she’s not really viewed as much of a threat and has so much energy that she is at least entertaining around the house.

6. Topaz – Her alliance with Alec helps to keep her safe. However, her alliance with Gary makes her a target in the eyes of a few people. Even if she goes up on the block, odds are slim that she’ll be voted out.

5. Jillian – Gary is coming after her for sure, and there may also be some other people who feel the same (including Tom down the road). Being in a tight showmance severely hurts her chances.

4. Emmett – See above. He is not the biggest male threat in the game, but the worst thing that could possibly happen to him is if Tom gets sent packing. Suddenly, he’s now the alpha guy in the house.

3. Liza – She has herself in a great position so long as nobody talks to each other. Plus, both Peter and Tom are fighting over her! She’s not going anywhere so long as she continues to be cautious.

2. Alec – Save for his showmance, nobody is really talking about Alec as a problem in any way. He’s likable around the house, and he’s not enough of a threat for anyone to want him out now.

1. Peter – This may be no surprise that Peter is playing the best game. He’s got a final 2 alliance, a four-person alliance, a side alliance with Liza, and no showmance to make him an obvious target. He’s also decent but not great in challenges, and a good person to have around. We don’t think anyone is going to get rid of this guy!
