Late-night highlights: Justin Timberlake sings, Olivia Wilde talks Justin Bieber

Late Night with Jimmy FallonMaybe there’s something in the late-night water this week, but even with some shows (including “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report”) in reruns, we’re still getting some pretty great stuff this week … and of course, it begins with Justin Timberlake.

While we were not quite sure if there was any way that the singer / “Saturday Night Live” superstar and Jimmy Fallon would be able to equal the greatness that they have with their History of Rap videos, the following barbershop version of “SexyBack” is pretty darn close. Plus, it almost makes this style of music (and those rainbow-colored suits) look sexy in their own right … almost.

Next up, it’s Olivia Wilde talking about someone who we never would have imagined her talking about before this month: Justin Bieber. The teen pop star has been increasingly riding along the crazy train for the past few weeks, in between running around shirtless, fighting with the paparazzi, and wearing a hat that has caused Damon Lindelof to freak out like Hurley did on his old show in “Lost.” As a response to the shirtless picture, Wilde had a very blunt response on Twitter that led to some extensive hate mail from Bieber fans.

On “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Tuesday, Wilde had a new response to all of the madness, and we have to give her applause for the bravery.

The only other news breaking comes from earlier this week, when Howard Stern bashed the idea that he would ever go to NBC as a host of a 12:35 a.m. show when Jimmy Fallon takes over “The Tonight Show.” This was a lengthy ego trip by the “america’s Got Talent” judge, who is right that he can make way more money on the radio.

With that being said, who seriously thought that Stern was going to go to NBC for a late-night show?
