‘Big Brother Canada’ review: Did Suzette or Gary win the power of veto?

Big Brother Canada

On tonight’s episode of “Big Brother Canada” Tom is doing whatever it takes to make sure that Suzette is the one going home because he thinks she has it out for him, but his alliance is worried that he is playing the game to emotionally and that he the power is going to his head – making too many enemies in the house.

Peter and Liza have admitted that they are interested in each other, but are not being open about their blossoming showmance, so that no one targets them – especially Tom since he has had a weird little something with Liza. The Quatro alliance is definitely cracking, Alec wants to get Tom out, saying that he’s put to big a target on them because of his behavior and Peter’s happy with this idea so that he can get more time alone with Liza.

Big Brother calls and Andrew picks up the phone telling him that his task is to make up a reason to cook everyone a meal, something special, but when he cooks the meal it has to be terrible.  If the houseguests compliment him, then they win a pizza and beer party.  At the dinner everyone was clearly not enjoying the dinner, but Tom compliment’s him on the dinner and he wins the beer and pizza party for everyone.

At the Power of Veto competition the 6 chosen houseguests are playing a game of hockey (really it’s taking a shot at a net), where there is a photo of each of the six veto players.  If they answer a question correctly then they can take a shot at the net – the idea is to take out the photos of the other players and whoever is left wins. while everyone else manages to take out other people’s photos, Suzette takes out her own.  She’s so upset and she calls Tom a “redneck” as she sits down and it fires Tom up even more to win and get her out.  In the end Tom wins the Power of Veto and he has all the power this week – Suzette is in serious trouble.

Suzette realizes that her comment towards Tom was hurtful and decides that she wants to try and make things right, because she’s ashamed of what she said.  She apologizes to Tom and he accepts her apology, but nothing has changed and she is still the target. Tom tells AJ that he’s going to take Gary off the block at put him on as a pawn and AJ is cool about it saying that he’s happy to do a favor for Tom, knowing that Tom has his back.  Tom goes ahead and removes Gary from the block and puts up AJ as the pawn in hopes that Suzette will go home.

What’s really interesting about this week’s elimination is that Canada can influence who actually goes home – so Suzette is not done yet.  You can go to the Big Brother Canada site and with any points you’ve earned by playing the online games you can redeem those points to help save either Suzette or AJ. Obviously production wants Suzette to stay so that the drama between her and Tom continues to live on and it’s likely that she could stay making Tom madder then ever.

Do you think that Tom made the right decision taking Gary off the block and putting up AJ or do you think he should have left the nominations the same?  Leave us a comment and tell us what you think.
