‘Big Brother Canada’ review: Who was evicted, and who’s the new Head of Household?
There’s nothing quite as fun as watching a good blindside in the “Big Brother” game … at least until the person evicted gets all teary-eyed about it.
The biggest shocker on Thursday night’s “live” eviction episode was not that Danielle was evicted, since anyone on the live feeds beforehand would have known that much of the house, led by Tom, had been planning to get her out of the house. What was shocking was that Danielle managed to go into the show blissfully unaware, and completely melted down when she found out everyone who stabbed her in the back.
The biggest reason to get rid of her? It really boiled down to this: Aneal was willing to play the game more than she was, and tell the guys in power (Tom, Emmett, Peter, and Alec) that he would not come after them if he won Head of Household. Meanwhile, Danielle was unafraid to speak her mind, and it got her in trouble since it was someone who could have aligned with Gary, who is now public enemy #1 since he is both on the outside of the alliance and a challenge threat.
After Danielle’s goodbye messages (include the master of loopy Diary Room sessions in Talla), we then did have a Head of Household Competition that unfolded before us. It was the sort of Majority Rules Q&A that we have seen in various forms on the American show over the years, and it ended up just being a random guess about batter after the first part of the competition ended in a tie. Thanks to all of the guys (who were the only ones left) having little understanding of numbers, we have Tom as the one in power just for being the best of the worst guesses. Translation? This week is going to be very, very bad for Gary (and also Tom’s ego).
What do you think: was Danielle the right person to go home, and what do you think about the new HoH? If you want to see what was happening on the live feeds prior to the eviction, including a fight between Tom and Talla, all you have to do is visit the story over at the link here.
