‘Two and a Half Men’ season 10, episode 18 preview: You probably saw this coming

Two and a Half MenAfter a few episodes of “Two and a Half Men” earlier this year that actually constituted a pretty interesting story with Walden Schmidt, we were hoping that this episode, the first since the February sweeps, would end up continuing the trend. Unfortunately, we can’t really say that this happened. Instead, what we ended up with this time around was a story that was pretty predictable, and we knew would come up eventually.

The premise for this half-hour was pretty simple: Alan moved out of Walden’s place after a massive fight over a toaster of all things, and he ultimately ended up moving in with someone he has quite a bit of common ground with: Herb. Thankfully, Ryan Stiles at least sold the fact that the one-time serious suitor was now a crazy person who obsessed over trains, and basically forced the freeloader into living with him and being his friend.

You knew by the end of the episode that these two were going to get together, settle their differences, and move back in together … and it happened. Herb was disappointed, but Alan could not pass up the opportunity to once again live rent-free in a place that was not only gigantic, but catered to just about everything he could possibly want. There were also little appearances by Berta and Jake in here, but they did not amount to much other than filler.

While there have been times this year where “Two and a Half Men” upped its game somewhat in the post-Charlie Sheen era, this was not one of them. Herb’s creepy train obsession aside, everything in here has been done many times before, and often better.

Overall, what did you think about this episode? If you want to check out some more video clips from this half-hour, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
