TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 2 spoilers: Specific tributes, mysteries for J.R. Ewing’s funeral
As we promised earlier in the week, we’re back for some more scoop not only about J.R. Ewing’s funeral on an upcoming episode of “Dallas” season 2, but about the upcoming mystery that is going to ask a very familiar question: who shot J.R.?
According to a new report from TVLine, the funeral itself is not only going to contain all sorts of physical cameos from the original series (including everyone from major players to people who just made a few passing appearances), but there will also be photos lining the event of Larry Hagman’s character from years gone by. The producers have done a pretty extensive job not only of making this event feel like something that serves as an emotional tribute, but also is “Dallas” the same way that it has always been: soapy, dramatic, and with surprises around every turn.
With this in mind, the first mystery that we are going to see addressed during this episode is rather simple: rather than just trying to figure out who shot J.R., the characters also must uncover just where in the world the body was found. (Hint: it may not be in America.) Most of the major surprises are going to be saved for the very end of the episode, but at this point there will be some major suspects named … and some of them are going to be people you do not see coming in a million years.
TNT is clearly expecting this to be one of their most-viewed episodes of the series yet, and considering that the numbers have not exactly been stellar thus far in season 2, it certainly could use the help.
