‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Lea Michele teases story with Cory Monteith, Dean Geyer
Of course, there is also another problem for her coming up: whatever Brody is up to. The scene at the end of “I Do” suggested very strongly that her boyfriend (played by Dean Geyer) is working some sort of side business as an escort, and once Santana (Naya Rivera) finds out a thing or two about what she is up to, it allows for someone to re-enter the picture who we already know to be a major player in Rachel’s life: Cory Monteith’s Finn.
For more on this, we turn to Lea Michele herself, who explains to The Hollywood Reporter that even without shooting any specific scenes with Rachell, Finn finds a way to get himself very involved:
“Santana tells Finn. She smells a rat and calls Finn to come and investigate what he’s up to. Whether or not he’s an escort, Santana thinks he’s dealing drugs, Rachel thinks he’s working as a cater waiter; it could be any of those three things.”
Finn may not be able to make many trips directly out to New York right now courtesy of his commitments to New Directions, but Michele did tease that there are some ugly confrontations coming between the character and Brody as they start to work through what is really going on here.
As for the rest of the season with Rachel, Michele suggests that the possible casting in “Funny Girl” could be a storyline that plays out for much of the weeks ahead, even though the events of the end of the season are still extremely hush-hush as Ryan Murphy looks to set the stage for what a possible season 5 will look like.
