‘Hart of Dixie’ season 2, episode 17 review: Can Zoe get over her Wade heartbreak?

On tonight’s episode of “Hart of Dixie” season 2, Zoe is not dealing with her break up from Wade very well – she’s missed work and is hiding out in bed.  When she finally emerges the first person she runs into is Wade, and things are looking grim.

When Wade goes to work he’s feeling the wrath of his mistake from everyone, but Zoe is getting pies, tons and tons of pity pies.  The pies are reminding her that she’s been dumped, so when she goes back to work and runs into more pies she decides that she’s really not ready to go back. Tansy decides to help Zoe, by taking her to the bar and drinking away her problems, but the drunker she gets, the angrier she gets.

Zoe goes over to Wade’s place and tells him off for what he did to her and she feels a bit better letting it all out – in fact after telling him off, she just gets angrier, but when her anger starts to interfere in other people’s relationships she realizes that this isn’t healthy. Zoe decides to let her hurt in and deal with the pain of the break up and brings Wade’s things back to him, telling him that she doesn’t hate him, but that things are definitely over for good.

Wade and Lavon are commissioned by the church to head up the charity casino and although they both try to get out of the function, the priest is not interested in their excuses. At the charity casino Wade is in charge of the charity funds, but when he goes for a break and leaves the box unattended someone snatches it.  Wade goes to Lavon to tell him what happened and Lavon accuses him of stealing the money, but after Wade leaves the priest brings the money box to Lavon saying that someone thought it was their lunch box and took it by accident. Later Lavon goes to Wade’s house and apologizes for implying that he stole the locked box.  Wade says that he realizes that he’s completely messed up his life by losing Zoe and is worried that he’s lost his friendship with Lavon too, but he tells him that isn’t going to happen.

Lemon and Shelby are still not getting along and even more so now that Shelby is trying to redecorate their father’s house, unfortunately for Lemon Brick has other plans for Shelby.  Later when Jonah is visiting Lemon, he lets it slip that Brick is going to ask Shelby to move in.  Lemon goes to George asking him to dig up dirt on Shelby and he agrees asking what the plan is.  Lemon asks him to come with her to Shelby’s condo’s open house so they can snoop.

When they get to Shelby’s condo, Lemon and George pretend that they are an engaged couple and Lemon quickly starts snooping through her stuff.  They find out that Shelby is behind on her mortgage payments and that she is going to lose her condo in 30 days.  When they get caught in the closet by the agent George kisses Lemon in hopes that they will think they are just making out and it works.

Back at the house, Shelby is trying to buy Magnolia, but she’s not falling for it until they buy her a brand new car then she folds like a house of cards and has agreed to let Shelby move in.  When Lemon finds out she tells Brick everything about Shelby’s money problems and Brick tells her that he already knew and he’s disappointed with Lemon.
