‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 spoilers: A few very early hints

Yesterday, we posted the first look at the “Pretty Little Liars” season 3 finale, which featured an image of Spencer looking square at “Red Coat,” which of course means that the secret about this woman’s identity will likely be revealed to both us and the audience by the end of the episode. (Warning: possible spoilers and/or speculation ahead. You’ve been warned.)

So what comes after this? It may sound strange, but we actually have already some early details about the first episode of season 4… at least in the form of some details being shared by executive producer Marlene King. In a series of posts on Twitter, she explained that we are going to meet a number of characters that fans have been clamoring to see for quite a while, and we’re sure that at least one of them will tie in to the surprise ending that we are getting ready to see during the finale.

As for the recent rumors of someone dead coming back to life, we’ll let you do most of the speculating, but we have a feeling it has something to do with the suggestions that Toby’s death could be a hoax, or the book series having a pretty surprising twist in them that we are not going to spoil here for those who want to be surprised.

For those interested in the production side of things for “Pretty Little Liars,” know that King and the writers are already several episodes in to the planning process, and that filming for season 4 actually begins just around the time that season 3 ends. This is really just a result of the show’s quirky schedule, as the actors have been off from the show since last fall, as they filmed the entire season in one shot.
