‘Dancing with the Stars’ casting rumors: Are Andy Dick, Lisa Vanderpump in?
Is the cast of “Dancing with the Stars” close to finalized for the upcoming season? While we’re not seeing any names that would come as a surprise, there are still some people who are now being tied to the show that would nonetheless be more than a little entertaining to watch.
Based on recent reports (including the latest one via TMZ), here are the people that we believe will be entering the ballroom for the upcoming season of the ABC competition show. (The official announcement will come on “Good Morning America” in the morning.)
Andy Dick – If the former “NewsRadio” star is in a good place, he could be a great source of comic relief for the show. If he’s not, this has “trainwreck” written all over it in the worst way imaginable.
Lisa Vanderpump – It’s honestly surprising that the show has waited this long to cast a woman from the “Real Housewives” franchise, but they at least are picking someone with a great sense of humor and something to bring to the show.
D.L. Hughley – Remember D.L.? If Andy doesn’t bring the laughs, he will.
Wynonna Judd – A country star who will be sharing an audience with…
Kellie Pickler – Another country star, and the first “American Idol” alum to appear on the show.
Aly Raisman – She’s a gymnast and part of the Fierce Five. In other news, give her the title now.
Sean Lowe – He’s attractive, funny, and is one of the few “Bachelors” who has not come across as smarmy. He’ll go far.
Jacoby Jones – Here to fit the role of the token NFL player who potentially goes far.
Victor Ortiz – The boxer gives the show another athletic dimension.
Notice that there are still at least another two or three names to be filled in here, and there have been rumors suggesting all sorts of folks, including Bobby Flay to of course the standard Disney Channel stars. The good news for us is that out of this crew, Victor is the only star that we have never heard of.
