ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5, episode 16 preview: Was Alexis really the target?
On Monday night, this epic “Castle” two-parter is finally going to be at an end; and with that, we will have an answer to a pretty valuable question: was Alexis Castle really the person that was being targeted for the kidnapping job all along? Based on one of the newest sneak peek below from “Hunt,” that seems to be the case.
Before we dive too much deeper into that, though, there are some other interesting developments here worth pointing out. For one, Rick decides that rather than trying to play it safe and wait for the authorities to get the clearance necessary in order to go retrieve his daughter in Paris, he is instead going to pull a Liam Neeson and try to take off overseas to enact some justice of his own doing. This decision is prompted in the first video, where he is told that it will take a terribly long time (as in a full day) for the necessary information to be handed down from the embassy in order for the case to continue properly.
As for what is also interesting, this episode will feature a guest-starring appearance by James Brolin as a mysterious character of his own. We’re not going to spoil anything here for those of you who have somehow managed to not hear any word about his character, but let’s just say that he is going to have a very important role to play in this episode for both Rick and Alexis.
What are you more interested in seeing here: Alexis ultimately getting rescued, or just what role Brolin is going to play in what unfolds? I want to see Alexis found safely and reunited with her dad. I’d like to see Brolin as a primary good guy in the hunt for Alexis and keeping them safe for their return home and the abductors caught, arrested and prosecuted to receive their just punishment. Okay, so I like good endings and Castle should always be about good endings that’s what makes his show so “fun” to watch in a “fantasy” kind of way.
Hope it turns out well,
