‘The Middle’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Supernatural’ favorite Jim Beaver cast as…
“The Middle” has managed to pull off some pretty impressive casting as of late, having scored the first gig from Jack McBrayer since his time on “30 Rock” ended. Now, we are hearing that another fan favorite TV actor has signed on to appear on the sitcom.
In a new post on his Twitter account, Jim Beaver has confirmed that he will be filming a brief stint on the show beginning on Wednesday. Details about the actor’s role are not exactly clear, but it will nice to see him take on a part in a show that is strictly comedic after becoming well-known for his arcs of “Supernatural” and “Justified” (which clearly have their funny moments). Plus, does anyone else out there remember the actor’s role on “Harper’s Island”? That was, after all, a cult show in its own right. The last traditional sitcom he appeared in was “That 70’s Show” over a decade ago.
Even though “The Middle” never has amassed the largest amount of press out of any show on TV, it clearly has its fair share of devoted fans. It has maintained a pretty consistent audience on Wednesday night, even though it is facing some pretty harsh competition in the likes of “American Idol,” “Arrow,” and “Survivor Caramoan: Fans vs. Favorites.” Like another hit ABC series in “Modern Family,” it has also been around for four seasons.
Hopefully, we will be able to have some more news on this casting soon. For now, let’s just stick with the basic questions. What do you think about this casting? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can read more about the McBrayer casting over at the link here.
