ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Mad Men’ alum tapped to play…
While there is a great deal of attention at the moment understandably being given to the arrival of James Brolin as Rick’s dad on “Castle” season 5, this is not the only character who is going to be receiving a visit in the next several weeks from someone from his past. As you may recall from a previous article, there is also going to be an episode coming up that traces into the mythology of one Detective Ryan, including a woman that he was once connected to.
According to a new report from TVLine, that woman, who also happens to run a tavern on Staten Island, is named Siobhan O’Doul, and will be played by none other than Cara Buono. If you are a lover of all things “Mad Men,” then we have little doubt that you will remember the actress courtesy of her role as Faye, a woman who was connected to Don Draper in between Betty and his new wife Megan.
The crisis for Buono’s character during this upcoming episode (slated to air in March) is that her bar is being under siege by the local mafia, and we have a feeling that this will somehow be tied into a case. After the serious episodes coming up, we hope that this will have a reasonably light-hearted tone.
As for what else Ryan has going on at the moment, he’s rather busy … at least when it comes to starting a family with his wife Jenny following their wedding earlier on in the series.
What do you think about this casting, and are you excited to find out some more about the man Ryan used to be? If you want to see more on the dramatic “Castle” two-parter coming up, all you have to do is visit the story over here.
