‘Under the Dome’ teaser: First look from Super Bowl at Stephen King adaptation

While Super Bowl XLVII had a scary moment of its own courtesy of the power going out for almost a full half-hour during the broadcast, CBS decided to also show off a rather spooky fifteen-second teaser of its own.

The subject matter for the show here is “Under the Dome,” the latest attempt to adapt a Stephen King novel to the small screen. While there was no actual footage shown off from the actual show in the teaser, it was still pretty effective  in creating a similar feet to what we saw from the cover of King’s original work.

“Under the Dome” was specifically designed in order to be a summer series for CBS this summer, as they are interested in trying to create a larger summer slate for themselves beyond just “Big Brother.” They are also planning to bring “Unforgettable” back for its second season during the summer after it was originally canceled back in May.

Colin Ford and Britt Robinson are some of the current members of the cast, and the series is set to officially premiere on Monday, June 24 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, which is likely a move to ensure that it can capitalize on some of the lead-in coming courtesy of the Monday-night comedy block (which typically remains intact for the network all summer long).

This is clearly the most-anticipated new series of the entire summer for CBS, so let us hope that it ultimately ends up being worth the wait and all of the hype.
