ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2, episode 13 preview: Olivia and Fitz’s big moment
If you thought everything you have seen on “Scandal” thus far during season 2 has been surprising, wait until you see what happens on Thursday night’s new episode. This was originally supposed to serve as the season finale before ABC gave the drama an additional nine episodes, which means that much of the mysteries that we have seen as a part of the story thus far are about to be answered.
From the get-go, the question that is looming large is that with Hollis Doyle more or less exonerated in the attempted assassination of Fitz, who is really responsible? Olivia Pope is going to be forced into taking a good hard look at the people around her, as one of them is going to turn out to be a guilty party.
Then again, how focused Olivia is really going to be on the assassination case is going to be interesting enough on its own, since she has a major distraction looming in the form of the President himself. Fitz seems to be more than willing to risk his entire political career in order to be with Olivia, even if it is not entirely clear as to whether or not this is something that she is going to even be on board with. She knows that if he pulls the plug on his marriage right now, he loses the support of an oblivious public; meanwhile, she suddenly becomes painted as one of the biggest villains in the history of American politics … and a selfish “live for the moment” Fitz is surely not thinking about this.
What do you think is going to happen Thursday? In addition to sharing your theories below, be sure to also click here in order to see some scoop on the story arc being set up for episode 14.

Fitz is the father. Shonda Rhimes made it clear in a press interview last week.

There is one question that has not been asked out loud, who really is the father of the President’s baby?
