NBC’s ‘The Office’ season 9 spoilers: Could [spoiler] come between Jim and Pam?
We wrote recently that we would for sure be seeing Brian the boom mic operator (Chris Diamantopoulos) during the February 7 episode of “The Office,” and is it turns out, we know he will even be making one more appearance before then.
Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming story arc for Jim and Pam, executive producer Greg Daniels promises that we are going to see more of Brian in the next two weeks as there start to be questions about whether or not the lines are starting to blur a little too much between the filmmakers of this documentary and the people within it:
“Pam and Jim have this incredible, intense bond that has developed over years and years of little workplace jokes and conversation, [and] the thing I think is so, like, disturbing, maybe, is the realization that there may have been another guy who was there in an invisible setting this entire time also participating in little jokes with them and killing enormous amounts of hours at work … Once you start opening the box of who’s working on [the documentary], you have to picture that when Pam does an interview, Brian is right there, right off camera, holding a boom mic.”
Daniels will not comment on the terrible idea that Pam could actually cheat on Jim with Brian, outside of saying that the goal was for people to be “worried,” and to question what comes next for the couple as they did during the first three years of the show. There are going to be a number of revelations still to come about the documentary, and one of the questions that we have at the moment is simply whether or not this is ever going to be shone to anyone, and what sort of impact that could have on these characters’ lives.
If you want to find out when we are also going to see another notable character in Andy Bernard return to “The Office,” you can do so over at the link here.
