‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 spoilers: Mayim Bialik on Sheldon / Amy surprises
Is Sheldon’s relationship with one Amy Farrah Fowler going to ever evolve past what it currently is? That is a question that we will see partially addressed during Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” as Jim Parsons’ character is asked by Penny as to whether or not he will ever consider doing the deed with his girlfriend. From what we hear, the answer may surprise you.
So if this does turn out to be the truth, how will it impact Amy’s own behavior? Let’s just say that we could end up seeing the character on the offensive a little bit more. Speaking to E! News in a new interview, Mayim Bialik explained that Amy’s own suddenly-forceful demeanor could have another interesting reaction from the character:
“Amy is really pushing the envelope with Sheldon. It’s been really interesting and really multidimensional how he reacts and what he does with that information.”
You can probably expect the movement in the Sheldon / Amy relationship to culminate in the show’s Valentine’s Day episode, which is currently being set up to be a game-changer. There will be four separate stories that run through the course of the half-hour, but the sad news is that not all of them are going to have a happy ending. Assuming that Howard and Bernadette stay married and that Raj’s life could not really get any worse with women, then it leaves Sheldon and Amy along with Leonard and Penny as the two couples that could be in for a tough time. (Then again, there is also no proof that the bad news is going to necessarily be related to romance.)
