‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ review: What we learned from Brandi Glanville
Does anyone else feel like sometimes, we are watching the same sort of story on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” every week? There were ultimately some elements of Monday night’s new episode that did very much have a “rinse and repeat” sort of feel to them. We’ve seen ridiculous packing montages before (even to a city as close by as Las Vegas), just as we have seen Brandi Glanville talk about LeAnn Rimes seven ways to Sunday.
So what exactly did Brandi have to say this week? In between teaching a class that was all about pole dancing in Sin City, she also accused the country singer of trying to emulate her in every way … including driving around in the same sort of car. Oh, and we also learned that she has some friends in the tabloid industry. Good to know. There’s no questioning that she brings the drama, but does it really need to be the same sort of drama every times? The Brandi game, at least to us, is starting to lose a little bit of its luster.
Meanwhile, what was a little bit more difficult to watch was the slow deterioration of Adrienne Maloof’s marriage to Dr. Paul Nassif. While it was not really addressed much on the show, you could see it when she appeared briefly at a 6th grade graduation party. It was incredibly awkward with her there, but as soon as she left we actually had a pretty polite and cordial evening featuring Kyle and her family.
There were also a few other interesting elements scattered through this episode that were interesting, from simply realizing just how loaded Yolanda Hadid really is to seeing that these ladies do not exactly go to Las Vegas in the same way that everyone else does. However, where in the world is Taylor Armstrong right now? There are times when she almost feels like a ghost this season, and this week’s episode was one of them.
