ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2 spoilers: Meet a new face from Emily Thorne’s past

There is little question that Emily Thorne’s past on “Revenge” is a very complicated one, and we are now about to get another step closer to learning just how she managed to become the master of deception that she is today.

According to a brand-new report from TVLine, former “HawthoRNe” actor Collins Pennie has been cast to play the role of Emily’s former foster brother Eli on the show. We don’t really know too much about the character, but we have a feeling that he is probably not an angel in any sense of the word. (After all, she had to get some training somewhere, right?)

We will see Pennie make his first appearance on the show in an episode airing early this spring, and at the moment it is not entirely clear whether or not this is just a one-episode arc or if he is going to be around for a little while longer. This casting does come after we met Emily’s biological mother (Jennifer Lason Leigh) a little bit earlier in the season, and we of course have the real Emily Thorne still roaming around in Amanda Clarke … even though there is no blood relation here or a background in a foster home.

“Revenge” season 2 will continue to be off the air until February 10, but at that point we will have two new episodes until we have the Academy Awards airing on ABC at the end of the month. From there, don’t worry: March will be a month that is very good to the Hamptons and its residents.
