‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Aidan Gillen looks to the future
Before getting to the actual quote, we should add that anyone who does not want to know any major spoilers when it comes to the show (or the George R.R. Martin books) should really stop reading now:
“I’m chilling out till June … And then I’m going back to do Game Of Thrones. It should be a good one — I have a ship in this series which is cool.”
So why on earth does a man best known for owning a brothel suddenly have a boat to boot? We have a feeling that it must involve more than just him trying to take his seedy business to the ocean, but this is a surprise that is better off staying a secret for now. Gillen’s character has a habit of managing to obtain power just by being devious, and this was never clearer than when he “earned” himself a title and some land near the end of the second season.
If you want to get technical about it, “Game of Thrones” has not been technically renewed just yet for a fourth season, but don not fret: so long as the ratings stay steady (and they will likely increase instead), we are almost certain to see more adventures in Westeros moving forward.
