‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 10 preview: Is [spoiler] really dead?

"Once Upon a Time" - CastOver the past couple of weeks, there has been one question floating around the first episode back for “Once Upon a Time” season 2 in “The Cricket Game”: just who in the world is Regina going to be accused of killing? Well, we finally have an answer to that question; but before we get to that, we have a video that may serve as some proof that Regina does not really seem to even be in the killing mood at the moment.

Despite being more or less shunned upon helping Emma and Mary Margaret escape from the fairytale world and return to Storybrooke, the once-Evil Queen decided at the request of Jennifer Morrison’s character to attend the potluck celebration for the pair making it back to the town. It is there that she arrives with a smile on her face, though no one else seems altogether overjoyed to see her around at all.

Now, let’s go from that to the surprising death of (gasp!) Archie, otherwise known as Jiminy Cricket. Is he really dead, or is there something far deeper at play here? Just the episode’s title alone suggests that he is probably not gone for good by any means, since it seems awfully cruel to refer to someone’s death as a “game.” As for Regina, she on the surface has to be the prime suspect given that she has been undergoing therapy with Archie, and may have felt like she revealed something that she wanted to remain a secret forever. We still on’t think that everything is as it seems here, largely because there is really little reason at all for ABC to give away a major death in a promo video otherwise.

Oh, and we have to say that we love the brief reference to “101 Dalmatians” in the second sneak peek.

Do you think that Regina really killed Archie, or are we looking at a mystery that really goes far deeper than that? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can also read more about Emma and Captain Hook over at the link here.
