‘The X Factor’ UK: Christopher Maloney, Gary Barlow reunite at concert
Regardless of some of the negativity that surrounded Christopher Maloney during much of his time on “The X Factor” UK this past season, he always had one person in his corner due to his status as a mentor: Gary Barlow. Now, the two are proving that they at least still get along outside of the show courtesy of a sighting together in Maloney’s hometown Liverpool.
This week, the reigning third-place finisher took his mother to see Gary’s concert in the city, and the former Take That singer did more than just give Christopher tickets; he also allowed him the opportunity to go backstage. Maloney personally thanked Gary for the opportunity on Twitter, and this has been one of the rare public sightings for the singer, who has dealt with everything from death threats to boos over the past several months. (However, you also have to remember that he was the leading vote-getter on the show for many weeks before being overtaken by James Arthur.)
So what is next for Maloney now? It’s really rather simple: getting ready for the live tour that will happen over the coming months, which is really going to be a testing ground as for whether or not he can sell records and be successful as a recording artist. There have been all sorts of speculation about whether or not he is well-liked by some of the other contestants, but at the end of the day that is almost irrelevant compared to whether or not the public, who put him in the live shows to begin with, continues to send their support.
Do you think Christopher will be supported on the live tour? If you want to see what James is already working on when it comes to his debut album, be sure to read the story over at the link here.

I’m from the USA, and Christopher’s got my full support!! I can’t wait to hear him sing again!!!!! I’ll buy his albums and send them to all my family. He’s got an amazing voice, and I believe him to be very genuine!!! I loved his cruise ship performance, (via the negative media) but that was only for a few months 14 years ago. He said he’d sung before but lost his confidence. He also said he’s never done anything “This big before, or sung in front of thousands and thousands of people before,” or put himself “out like this before,” speaking of the X Factor!!! Come on people, truth doesn’t need defending and Gary said it best. “How the hell have you kept that voice hidden ’till now?” Common sense speaks the truth about his anonymity and lack of confidence in his first audition. He’s just an ordinary guy with a dream who doubted his own ability. But once he starts to sing, his love for singing and his natural gifts transcend him. Come on Nicole, he’s no corn flake!!! And to the critical he’s no fake!! I wish him the greatest success!!!!
