ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 2: Still images, Justin Bieber featured in new promo

Say what you will about whether or not you enjoy “Revenge” as a show, but you still have to admit one thing: the new promo the show has just unveiled for the return of season 2 on Sunday is pretty darn cool. As a matter of fact, it may be one of the best things that we’ve seen a network come up with for a show in the middle of a season.

First, the characters are placed against a white backdrop that almost saps them of their entire humanity, and at times either makes them look like glamour models or crime-scene victims. It’s both a bold and brash take on the sinister world of this show, and the fact that the word “beautiful” is used here is interesting of itself when it comes to how the word “beauty” is defined within this universe.

To make matters even more interesting, we are surprised at just how much we like the song choice of Justin Bieber’s “All Around the World” here. It’s easy to be cynical and bash Bieber just because nearly every teenager girl in America is in love with him, but this song works so well in the spot that you can almost forget that the “Baby” singer is behind the vocal track. This is probably credit to the maturity that he has shown as an artist, and the mastery of the “Revenge” crew to work music into their own promotional effort so well that the singer behind the song really doesn’t matter.

Can you absolutely not get enough of “Revenge”? We really can’t blame you, and with that in mind we have another clip over here that also throws in some “Once Upon a Time” action. Granted, this video is probably not nearly as cool.
