‘The X Factor’ UK: Is Union J locked in management dilemma?
Another day, and another tabloid story regarding one of the contestants from this season of “The X Factor” UK. On Sunday, the talk was all about the rumors that Rylan Clark could be replacing Olly Murs as the new co-host on “The Xtra Factor,” and today the subject is on something rather different altogether: whether or not Union J is drifting away from their long-rumored choice of manager in Louis Walsh.
At the time of the show’s finale, it was made very clear to many that the boys intended to sign with the man helped build Westlife into a success, and also worked with them through the entirety of the singing competition this year. According to The Sun, the band is now trying to decide between Walsh and Ortise Williams of JLS, a man who knows that modern music industry well in addition to what it takes to actually be in a successful boy band.
Here is what one source had to say on this very subject to the tabloid:
“The boys had a massive wobble over Louis Walsh … Louis has management experience but Oritsé has youth and the knowledge of being in their shoes on his side. People think Louis is past it for a band like this.”
As for who they end up signing with, we will probably not know the answer until some point next year. We can tell you that the group is signed with Sony Music, and they are obviously hoping to try and carry on the success of another popular “X Factor” boy band that went very far in the competition years ago: One Direction.
Regardless of who is actually managing the group, do you think that JLS has an extremely bright future ahead of them? We want to hear more of your thoughts below, and you can check out the latest achievement from James Arthur over here.

Union J will be big worldwide, just wait and see. They already have looooads of fans America, even since triple j. They have lots of fans in brazil too!
And most of their fans is like split, its JLS and Union J lovers, The Wanted and Union J lovers and 1D and Union J lovers. Most of them are acutally 1D and Union J.
And then they have the fans like me who doesn’t love jls, TW or 1D.. lol.
But anyway, they had bigger support than 1D had on their X factor time.
They are going to be huge!!

These guys will be big in the uk like jls but I don’t think they’ll be big in America. Way too similar style, music, look, stage presence, etc to 1D and especially since 1D is already at the top. Don’t think their fanbase is likely to support an act that similar. Their voices or harmonies aren’t any better either. The collective from X factor australia will be big worldwide though since they are different to any boy band there has been and they’re getting a good following in America already
