‘Homeland’ season 3 spoilers: The focus of Showtime’s new teaser (video)
Just in case you were not thoroughly excited enough about “Homeland” season 3 after the stellar finale on Showtime last year, we have something else to at least give you an idea of where the show is going moving forward: the first teaser for the return of Claire Danes and company in 2013.
While we have suggested the possibility of Nicholas Brody having a reduced role through at least the first part of the season (mostly since it makes little sense that he and Carrie would find each other right away), the clip makes certain to highlight the relationship between these two characters to a great degree … which of course should be enough for all of us to assume that the writers are going in a direction that ensures that Brody will remain a big part of the show moving forward, even if he is not always present on-screen.
If you were actually expecting any new footage in here, though, then you may be as crazy as the show’s writers were in thinking that no one would follow Brody to the Vice-President’s office. (We kid, we kid; it was the only flaw in a phenomenal season.) Season 3 is not even going to be on paper until next month at the earliest, and filming will not officially kick off until a few months after that. We will probably not receive a new teaser for the season until the middle of spring, and the first clip with actual footage of the show will likely be shown off at some point in the summer.
Do you still want Carrie and Brody to be the focus of “Homeland” season 3? If you want to read about some other things we are expecting to see moving forward on the show, you can do so over here.

People are forgetting there are 3 people who actually know of Brody’s innocence. Carey, Dana (who had the long talk with her father prior to the Walden service and learned to TRUST her own inner truths), Brody and the person who framed Brody.
It will be interesting if an arc of a story subplot would be Carey and Dana working first finding they both know of his innocence and both are committed together to help him.
We all are to believe the bombing was a terrorist activity. That was the premise from the beginning, Brody was a terrorist.
I think in the end it will come down to this simple question Carey will ask herself.
Why does the magician always have a beautiful assistant?
Ans: while the magician is setting up the illusion, the Audience has its eyes on the pretty assistant.

Carrie will succeed in clearing Brody. The tape was made by Brody to gain Nazirs trust and confidence that he was in fact turned, and was in fact gathering intel which led to the capture of Raya, her bomb attack, and the death of Nazir himself. One together again, it will still be unclear where Brody’s loyalty is. Quinn will play
a key role in finding this out. Brody will eventually be terminated; the US does not deal with terrorists or would be terrorists.

I don’t think they can be together. Carrie seems so distracted by love, so much so that the terrorists are winning. Surely she will need to understand that saving lives is more important. Also I think Saul knows…because of how he looked at her when she returned. He is the one person she can’t ever lie to or trick.

I hope next season will be like the Bourne movies, where Brody is on the run and trying to clear his name. I believe that he had nothing to do with the bombing, I think he was part of Nazir’s plan and they used his tape to incriminate him. I hope Brody ‘s role in season 3 is not diminished, I like him a lot; he has good chemistry with Carrie. I think in season 1 Brody was just brainwashed and tortured and he did have terrorist thoughts, but his daughter’s love changed him and later Carrie’s love turned him back into the person he was before his capture. Most people call him a terrorist, but he actually hasn’t committed any acts of terrorism (we don’t know if had anything to do with bombing CIA headq). And he didn’t kill Walden, Nazir did, Brody did nothing to help him because Nazir had Carrie captive.

Listening to how the director (et al) feel Carrie and Brody can’t be together makes us want to turn this off. It is love that drives us. Why can”t it be right for Carrie and Brody? The love of his daughter stopped his bombing mission. Not everyone is evil to the core. Let Brody be a good guy now that he is not trapped by terrorists.
