‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: The writers work on the Deb dilemma

DexterJudging from how “Dexter” season 7 aired this past Sunday, you knew that there was going to be some pretty terrible situations for our leading man and his sister Deb to get through during the early stages of season 8. After all, how else can you justify trying to deal with the fact that LaGuerta is now dead, especially with the way in which it happened? This is the first person that Deb has ever killed, and she is now a murderer of the worst king. With this one action, she has now done something that even Dexter’s code would not fully allow for him to do.

The show’s writers are already back at work penning scripts for the potentially final season, which is leading to writer, story editor, and wonderful “Wrap-Up” podcast host Scott Reynolds tweeting out the following message this week:

“Prepping for another day of figuring out how Dex deals with what Deb has done. And visa versa.

If this is not a clue for you as to where the show is planning to go in 2013, we don’t quite know what would be. It is pretty clear to us at this point that one of the primary themes here is going to be getting the characters to understand the magnitude of what they have done, and how they are going to move forward. After all, this is not just a situation where Dexter and Deb will be able to forget about this; they worked with LaGuerta, and going to work every day is going to be a constant reminder.

Do you think there is any way that these two characters will move past this? If you want to read about what is coming up for Quinn on “Dexter” season 8, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
