‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ spoilers: Will a new patient stop Sister Jude’s release?

American Horror Story: AsylumThe midseason finale of “American Horror Story: Asylum” left fans hanging in the worst possible ways and now we have to wait until the new year to find out what happened, but at least we have a little insight into one of the new upcoming episodes to tide us over until then. (Warning: Spoilers ahead).

A new synopsis has already told us that not only is the Monsignor not going to accept the angel of death’s kiss, but he will also come face to face with the Devil – Will he be strong enough to take him on after what happened with Lee? Also Dr. Arden’s horrific experiments on the patients will finally come to a head, but will he get the answers he was hoping for? With Grace’s return to earth (and her pregnancy at full term) she will be delivering some pretty devastating news to Kit about his wife Alma and the types of experiments the aliens performed on her. Grace’s allegiance with the aliens will also turn violent, but at this point we don’t know why – likely her baby will be threatened in some way, or possibly even Kit.

What most fans are wondering about is what’s going to happen to Sister Jude.  Although she was a tyrant when we first met her, cruel and unforgiving, she has now found herself as a patient at Briarcliff and sees things through very different eyes.  During the midseason finale, Sister Jude tried to make an alliance with Lana, but with everything she has put Lana through this is going to be a very hard sell.  From the looks of the new episode 12 synopsis (provided by Spoiler TV) it seems that Sister Jude may have another new obstacle when it comes to getting out of Briarcliff. Not only will the Monsignor be trying to silence Sister Jude, but a deadly new patient will also be threatening her chances of being released from the asylum.

We still have a while until “American Horror Story: Asylum” returns to FX in the new year, but be sure to check back for new and spoilers on the series if you can’t wait until then.
