When Angus T. Jones’ had his epic outburst about “Two and a Half Men” fans wondered what the repercussions were going to be from CBS since we all know what happened to Charlie Sheen when things started to go south with him. Was Jones’ character going to suffer the same fate as Charlie Sheen’s or were these two situations even comparable?
So where does CBS stand when it comes to Jones and his tirade against the popular show? CBS head, Les Moonves, said that in comparison to what happened with Charlie Sheen last year, this is a piece of cake. Moonves sat down with the Wallstreet Journal to talk about Jones’ now viral video in which he calls “Two and a Half Men” “filth” and tells people to stop watching the show (Jones has now sort of apologized for what he said). Moonves said that even though the situation with Jones hasn’t been resolved at this point that it was at least better then what happened with Sheen. He said; “I don’t think [the Angus situation has] been quite resolved, but after going through what we went through with Charlie Sheen, it’s been a piece of cake.”
Moonves said that CBS hasn’t made a decision on whether or not to fire Jones from the show yet and referred to him as “that kid on ‘Two And A Half Men’ who’s getting paid $300,000 per episode to talk bad about me.”
Do you think that Jones should be fired from the show for his comments or do you feel that he has the right to say what he wants about the series? Leave a comment below and tell us what you think should be done with Jones.
A brand new episode of “Two and a Half Men” will be airing on December 6th at 8:30 on CBS, so be sure to tune in and check it out. If you want to see a preview of the next episode, you can do so here.
