‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: Paul Wesley focus of ‘Bourbon Street’ art

The Vampire Diaries“The Vampire Diaries” season 4 is nearing the end of its run this fall, and on Thursday night we are going to have an episode that will focus on the present almost as much as the past: “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street.” The 1940s will be the setting for the flashback, and as the newest promo art for the show features this setting in the forefront.

First and foremost, we are rather happy to actually see Stefan be the focus of this promo rather than Damon. This isn’t really meant as much of a slam against Ian Somerhalder’s character, though; instead,we are going to see the focus placed on someone in Paul Wesley’s Stefan who also has a major story to tell. After all, Lexi is going to turn up on the show for the first time all season during this hour, as we have an opportunity to see how Stefan handles his time during World War II.

In addition to covering this setting, the episode is also going to cover how exactly Stefan and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finally grew closer together after so many years apart. We have seen some of the sources of their disdain towards each other courtesy of Stefan’s ripper days and time spent with Klaus a century ago; but isn’t it time to see some great Salvatore brother moments again? Hopefully the memory of these good times will help the two grow closer together again after seeing so much fighting this season over Elena, both in terms of romance and how they should train her to be a proper vampire.
