ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Who could be finding love next?

“Castle” season 5 thus far has really been all about the Castle / Beckett love story, but could someone else be joining in on the fun soon? Based on some of what is being said now, it is certainly looking like it is possible. However, what may surprise you is seeing just who it is who could have a special someone entering their life (and possibly stirring up all sorts of conflict and storytelling as a result).

Speaking as a part of a new interview with Wetpaint, executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe has suggested that the possibility is out there that one Alexis Castle could be seeing a new love in her life at some point; however, don’t expect it to be in the immediate future given that things are still in the early stages:

“There may be. I don’t know if it’s love, but I think that there may be a young gentleman in her future. But we’ll see into that, and then explore it a little bit more as we move forward. At this point, it’s just insinuation. We haven’t cast anybody for the role yet.”

So how would Castle react to the news that Alexis is seeing someone? This is where some of that aforementioned conflict could come from. It’s hard to see the revelation going particularly well, even though Castle could open up to the idea over time. Plus, he’s not really on the position to complain about seeing new faces in relationships based on the fact that she is still dealing with the fact that he is in one now with Beckett.
