‘Mad Men’: Jon Hamm to host Hurricane Sandy benefit

Jon Hamm may be busy filming “Mad Men” season 6 at the moment, but that won’t stop him from making time to participate in an upcoming event to help the victims of the Hurricane Sandy disaster.

Not only will Hamm be attending the “We Hate Hurricanes” benefit on Monday December 10th at Club Nokia at L.A. Live, but he will also be the Master of Ceremonies for the night of comedy. Hamm along with Sarah Silverman, Will Ferrell and Aziz Ansari will be some of the comedic acts one can expect to see take the stage during the evening (as well as a performance from Beck), in hopes to raise money to help the people that fell victim to the hurricane. All of the proceeds raised that night will help benefit the non profit disaster relief organization AmeriCares.

If you’re looking to get your hands on some pre-sale tickets, you can do so on November 30 at 10:00 a.m. and for the rest of the general public, tickets will be going on sale on December 1 at 10:00 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Donations will be accepted at the event, but there will also be ‘Benefit’ posters for sale (with the proceeds from those sales also going to AmeriCares).

Are you planning on attending the event? Who are you most excited to see take the stage?  leave us a comment below and tell us what you think.
