‘Dexter’ season 7, episode 8 preview: Deb pleads her case (video)
Here is a situation that you never expected to see on “Dexter” at any point before the start of season 7: Debra Morgan actually begging her brother to kill someone.
So why is it happening now? Let’s just say that, as expect, Hannah McKay is very much involved. In the first of two sneak peeks from Sunday’s new episode (we will have the next one later this weekend), you can see Michael C. Hall’s character get a pretty strong plea from his sister over why Hannah is the perfect candidate for the table: she has killed multiple times, and there is a concrete evidence to back it up. The problem? Due to the grand ol’ technicality known as definitive proof, Deb does not have enough to put her behind bars … and after what happened earlier this season with Ray, she’s not willing to have someone out there on the loose to kill again.
Sadly, there is one enormous problem here that Deb is not aware of as of yet, and that is Dexter’s personal relationship with the killer / florist owner. For some inexplicable reason, Dexter has yet again allowed himself to get close with the person he originally planned to kill; but unlike Trinity, this is someone that he connects with on both an intellectual and physical level, even if the manner in which they kill is very different.
Later on in this episode, we are going to see Dexter finally confess that his feelings for Hannah are the reason why he cannot kill her, and there is absolutely nothing worse that he can do to break her heart considering that she is not only a killer, but one who murdered someone in Sal who she was starting to have feelings for.
Do you think Deb will ever change her brother’s mind?
