‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Ian Somerhalder’s ‘best day ever’ (video)

We know that fans of Damon and Elena are probably going to be pretty thrilled with what is happening at the moment of “The Vampire Diaries” season 4 … but did it really have to come at the expense of Stefan in the process? We’re definitely not looking at an “everybody wins” sort of scenario, at least when it comes to the latest promo released by The CW for the next two episode airing on November 29.

Basically, Stefan is going to still be crushed by the fact that he and the woman he loves are not together, but he tells his brother that it is probably his “best day ever.” We don’t really see Ian Somerhalder’s character making much of a move, but Elena does tell him that the two “need to talk.” Talk about what? Are they about to hook up? It’s probably best to cool your jets out there even if you are a Damon-and-Elena fan, if for no other reason than that there is still a chance that Nina Dobrev’s baby vamp has it within her heart to not break Stefan’s heart even more than she already has for the time being.

As for what else is happening in this episode, you can probably expect to see more of the fallout of Caroline and Tyler’s relationship, in particular when it comes to one key question: if Caroline was so upset about Tyler helping Hayley at first, doesn’t Tyler have a right to be even more so since she basically told Klaus about Tyler’s plan so that she could ensure a vampire died at Jeremy’s hand? There is trouble in paradise all over this show at the moment, and it is not even remotely limited to just one character.
