‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Darren Criss … and superheroes
For some inexplicable reason, the folks over at Fox thought that it would be a smart idea to air a new “Glee” season 4 episode on Thanksgiving night; and with that in mind, we’re starting to wonder just how relevant this episode is going to be to anything involving the main plots.
The title for this hour is “Dynamic Duets,” and there is a serious superhero theme going on here that brings to mind that club Blaine joined earlier this season. Speaking of Blaine, this episode does feature the return of the Dalton Academy Warblers to the show for the first time since Regional from last year, and they are not exactly going to have the best intentions for bringing him around. As a matter of fact, their real goal here is pretty simple: try and snag the kid up for their own to use iat Sectionals. They are going to convince him to perform at least one song with them, so there could be some trouble brewing on the horizon…
As for the rest of the episode, the superhero theme is going to somehow come into play as both Jake (Jacob Artist) and Ryder (Blake Jenner) compete for the affection of Marley (Melissa Benoist), especially now that the “Grease” musical is over and they really don’t have much else to occupy their mind. Some of the great costumes that come out of this are Brittany as the Human Brain, Becky as a bumblebee, and Finn thinking it would be cool to become the Treble Clef as he hopes to lead New Directions to a victory in the place of Will.
