‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 6 review: Lawsuits and disorder

After spending weeks immersed with drama, there were some hopeful moments on Thursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” as with the help of Bailey, Arizona more or less was forced to get herself back to work to help out a patient. This was a nice moment on so many levels. For Callie, she had an opportunity to find out that there was a friend for her waiting in the wings at Seattle Grace … and at the end of the day Arizona should really feel the same way.

As for the other more lighthearted moments this week, we were reminded that there is tension between Jackson and Webber … but is there a cracking in the armor? It seems like it, at least based on the fact that Jackson may be starting to warm up to the fact that his mother has a new boyfriend. Meanwhile, we found out that it was Owen (aww!) who pushed for Cristina to come back to Seattle Grace, Jackson and April are being closer then ever when it comes to being lovers rather than just a series of one-night stands, and Alex is actually starting to move forward with his personal life after dating so many interns for just a few weeks. As a matter of fact, he tried to buy Meredith’s house!

As for the harsher moments this week, they mostly came courtesy of a well-crafted story between Derek and Callie where the two were nearly put down in the lawsuit that left Patrick Dempsey’s character unable to operate again after surgery. As it turns out, there are still plenty more options left for him. As for the lawsuit, this is where things get tricky: the lawyers actually feel that it may be the best course of action for the doctors is to band together against their own hospital to recover damages from what happened to them, even more so than the airline, the pilot, or anyone else involved. However, this impacted more than just the plaintiffs, as it also threw Owen and everyone else working above the docs under the microscope.

Do you think Alex is on the right path finally, and could you see these doctors actually going after Seattle Grace? We want to hear more of your thoughts on this episode below!
