‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Lea Michele confirms Whoopi Goldberg return

Given that Rachel Berry is still a student at NYADA, it was pretty much a given that Whoopi Goldberg would be stopping by “Glee” season 4 at some point for a performance. With that being said, isn’t it now so nice to have that be made official?

This welcome news was confirmed by Lea in a new post on her Twitter account, where she proclaimed that she was also shooting a scene with the likes of Dean Geyer and Chris Colfer. What could the four of them be doing together? There are really so many guesses that you could make, from a NYADA performance to Kurt possibly giving an audition another go in the Big Apple. Personally, we are hoping for the latter, if for no other reason than that it would be bizarre for a show about aspiring singers and performers to have someone abandon that dream, even for another career in the arts in fashion.

What is still a mystery to us is just what episode this performance could be appearing in. It’s already been confirmed that the show is working on their Christmas episode as of late, but this could be for an episode before or after that in order to accommodate Goldberg’s availability. After all, she has to be in New York City during the week to be on her hit daytime talk show.

“Glee” season 4 has returned to the air now after a temporary hiatus due to the baseball playoffs, and it will be around every week (including the week of Thanksgiving) until the Christmas holiday. Even though Rachel and the rest of the New York crew was not present in this past episode, we will be returning to New York again for “Glease,” which picks up as New Directions (led by Finn) gets ready to perform their version of “Grease.”
