‘Homeland’ season 2 spoilers: The Dana crisis intensifies

While we have no idea just what is going to happen with Carrie and Brody on “Homeland” season 2, one ending seems inevitable at this point: Dana is not going to be able to keep it a secret that Finn killed a woman while having a joyride away from the Secret Service. We saw it slowly start to eat away at her during this past episode, and all of this tension is about to come to a head Sunday night.

In the newest sneak peek from the episode below, you can see Brody’s daughter confront Finn with the bombshell that regardless of how he may feel about it, she is going to speak out about what happened in the accident. Is this going to destroy any hope that these two have of being together? Probably, but that doesn’t really seem to be on the forefront of either of their minds, anyway.

Finn’s initial reluctance to say anything to anyone about the accident seems born out of one thing: his own fear that it will destroy both his and his father’s lives. It’s easier for Dana to say something given that she was not driving the car, and therefore she will not be the one with the substantial prison record as a result. With that being said, her moral compass is such that she would probably say something even if she was the person directly responsible for the killing.

Eventually, she does convince him to tell someone about what happened, and the two plan to do it together rather than putting themselves in a situation where one of them is forced to admit the hard truth to someone on their own. Ever heard of strength in numbers? Well, this is really the only strength these two have.

How much do you think this accident could ruin Dana and Finn’s lives, or do you think their families will still find a way to cover it up?
