‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 5 spoilers: A look at the penultimate episode

Will there be a major change for SAMCRO before the end of “Sons of Anarchy” season 5? In between Juice’s betrayal and Clay’s home invasions, it has already been a chaotic year for the Charming club; and based on what we know now about the penultimately episode of the season airing later this month, it is about to get even more chaotic.

This twelfth episode (which, like the one coming up Tuesday, is set to be longer than an hour) will be specifically entitled “Darthy,” and the official synopsis gives us one major, but very brief, piece of scoop:

“Jax makes arrangements to take the club in a different direction.”

The delightful use of word “arrangements” here could mean all sorts of things. He is “arranging” to take somebody out in order to change the course of the club, or is this more of a philosophical shift away from killing people left and right? Regardless, you knew that there was no way SAMCRO could continue down the same path and actually have someone standing at the end. If there are candidates to be killed off here, Damon Pope and Nero have to be at the top of the list given that they are not series regulars; however, we also do wonder just how many times Clay can cheat death.

In other awesome news, this episode will be directed by Peter Weller, which is his third foray into the chair this season. Does anyone else love the fact that the man otherwise known as RoboCop is now directing “Sons of Anarchy” episodes? His last directorial effort here was “Toad’s Wild Ride,” and he has done a total of five episodes over the course of the past two years.

What sort of “arrangements” do you think Jax is making? We want to hear some of your theories below!
