‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: New look at Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah

Do you love the Originals on “The Vampire Diaries” season 4? Let’s hope so, since The CW has just released some brand-new promotional shots of these ancient characters that may have you quoting some of your favorite sassy quips out loud (even if no one is around to hear you).

Of course, we begin with in Klaus (Joseph Morgan) who seems to love celebrating his own brand of evil; or, as you could otherwise call it, a desire to build an enormous army of hybrids even though it is not entirely clear as to what the motivation is. (Is he just an evil version of Geppetto looking for some friends?) We love how undead this photo comes across in between Klaus’ pale face and his expression, which looks as though he is about to leap across the room to bite something. So long as that something is not Caroline, we’re happy.

As for Klaus’ sister Rebekah (Claire Holt), it is just incredible how glam this shot looks for a vampire. Is she secretly doubling as a model in Mystic Falls with the dark red lipstick? Her hair makes her look as though she is either a few good feet underwater, or she is lost in some sort of windtunnel. We wish that we saw more of this fierceness from Rebekah on a regular basis, largely since the show seems convinced that turning her into either an irritant or a victim is really the best option to get people interested in her character.

On a separate note, can’t we just hook Matt and Rebekah up already? Please?

Finally, we turn to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) who has yet to even turn up in the present this season. Don’t fret, though: the fact that he has a new promotional photo is pretty much proof that the man will have his story to tell before the season is over.

It only seems appropriate that the show’s most normal Original would have the most normal publicity photo, though the question that remains here is “what is the guy looking at?”. Is his brother about to start gnawing on somebody’s leg? He looks slightly stunned at whatever he is looking at, but not stunned enough to do something about it.

Which one of these shots is your favorite, and do you want to sink your teeth into some more Original action soon of “The Vampire Diaries” season 4?
