‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: A deeper look at ‘The Queen of Hearts’
“Once Upon a Time” season 2 thus far has brought us more than just some great action and plenty of surprises: it’s also been a lovely giver of some great episode titles. “The Crocodile” was a great bit of speculation for Captain Hook” earlier this season, and “We Are Both” all the way in episode 2 was interesting in that it allowed for plenty of discussion as to who the “both” really was in this instance.
Now, we have two full descriptions for a pair of intriguing episodes that we first discussed over a week ago: “Into the Deep” (which is the eighth of this season) and “The Queen of Hearts” (which immediately follows it). These synopses come to us via SpoilerTV, so it really should not come as too great of a surprise that there are in fact some copious spoilers within.
“Into the Deep” – “Cora tries to steal the compass from Emma and Mary Margaret; Regina and Mr. Gold must put David’s life in danger in hope that he will contact Mary Margaret.”
“The Queen of Hearts” – “Hook and Cora face off with Emma and Mary Margaret in a race for the compass; Mr. Gold and Regina plan to kill anyone who enters the portal.”
These two descriptions more or less give away that Captain Hook is not someone that these new residents of the fairytale land can really trust beyond just a passing glance, and it also shows that it will be at least nine episodes before it is possible that Emma and Snow White can return to Storybrooke. That’s a long time to be away, and it also seems almost like Regina and Mr. Gold want to ensure that they stay away. (Could Rumpelstiltskin have found out that someone looking to kill him could be crossing over into his world?)
Sadly, there’s still no word just yet on who the Queen of Hearts is … but doesn’t Cora have to be the ruler of somewhere?
